In its drive to ensure social-economic sustainability and inclusion in climate financing mechanisms, Malawi Economic Justice Network on Wednesday 08th May 2024 got a nod from NSANJE District Council through the District Executive Committee (DEC) on a new project entry in the district entitled “Building Gender Responsive Climate Financing Mechanisms for Sustainable Communities.”
The project is funded by IM Swedish Development Partner Southern Africa and seeks to promote resilient building efforts, social inclusion, adaptation and mitigation of climate change, and gender equality within the framework of national financing mechanisms.
The project’s pilot districts include Nsanje, Nkhotakota, and Phalombe
